The shift pedal is located on the left side of the motorcycle and is used in combination with the clutch lever when shifting the gears of the 6-speed constant-mesh transmission. When the quick-shift system is turned on, the shift switch senses shift pedal movement and allows for upshifting without operating the clutch lever.
